BBC and Lesbians at Cardiff Pride
We need to talk about this article 👇
Here is my archived version
You will see that the original version omitted the fact that the protesters were Lesbians. They were protesting the erasure of Lesbians and “Cotton Ceiling” rhetoric. The Cotton Ceiling refers to the underwear of Lesbians and the barrier it presents to heterosexual, trans-identified, males. A member of Stonewall Advisory group, Morgan Page, is infamous for running a male only group to strategise ways of overcoming this barrier.
You can read more about Morgan Page here:
This was the text of the first version:
The BBC reported that a “group” had interrupted proceedings and omitted that they were Lesbians defending same sex attraction, something now under attack from within the LGBTQ+ rainbow alliance.
The spokesperson is a man with he/him pronouns in his twitter bio. Here a member of Senedd gets involved.
Hannah Blythyn is a member of Senedd (Welsh Parliament) and married to a woman. She also has pronouns in her twitter bio:
She retweeted support for the organisers of Pride Cymru who organise Cardiff Pride.
This was the statement from Pride Cymru
Hannah also wrote this article:
Here is a clip complete with “wrong side of history” ; thought terminating cliches like “Trans Women are Women” etc and a commitment to self-identification for the “trans” community.
Here a man harasses a Lesbian at the march.
Right side of history?
My complaint is already in to the BBC.
