I came across this man when articles appeared about his attempt to pass a motion at his Trade Union calling women, who defend sex based rights, “fascists” in an unseemly rant which also claimed we were stoking a “trans genocide”
Only after writing this series did I realise this is a man who parades around Bradford, wearing unsuitably short skirts and fishnet stockings; the kind of skirt my mum would ask, sarcastically, “Is that a skirt or a pelmet?” . I had no idea he was another “trans-identified” male who was working behind the scenes to attack women’s right to exclude him.
He is employed by the Dept for Work and Pensions, a branch of government. He managed to get himself on a local group looking after “trans” issues and from there he sat on a national equalities forum and became the national “trans” ambassador. In all of this he was supported by the most senior civil servant in the department. This civil servant worked directly for the Govt. Minister responsible. He claims this enabled him to influence policy across the civil service and he also trained employers locally and regionally.
According to him a Permanent Secretary intervened to enable him to continue his “valuable” work.
He makes some bold claims about the extent of his influence. Claiming to work across the following departments. If it is true this man helped write policy it’s a damning indictment of the main political party who has been
He thinks gender neutral facilities are the ideal and claims “it’s not controversial…it’s just common sense” . He also believes organisations should normalise preferred pronouns in email signatures. Furthermore he pushes employers to facilitate lying about your biological sex, without giving any thought to female employees who have to change /shower at work and how their privacy, dignity and safety can be upheld. He claims to be providing legal advice and this has enabled him to empower managers to stand up for the “trans” community.
He is up for re-election as the co-chair of the Civil service LGBT network.
You can read more here: A series looking at his role in the Civil Service, the role of the then Permanent Secretary and his involvement with a Bradford based charity/company.
I look at the visage of this character and see my ex-husband's future. Neddy's motives, constant accusations of others, rage towards all women are exactly a fit into this mould. Thanks.
